Simpsons 'Treehouse of Horror XXV' Loved on Twitter

The Simpsons aired its 25th "Treehouse of Horror" Halloween special last week. To get in the mood for Halloween, we used Canvs to analyze how fans reacted to the (still funny) pop culture mainstay on Twitter.

Reactions to scary segments

The first story in "Treehouse of Horror XXV" involved Bart voluntarily enrolling in school in Hell. This plot line caused "crazy" to spike from 8:10 to 8:15 as fans Tweeted their incredulity.

Despite the far-out hell plot, 34% of fans expressed "love" for the opening segment.

The second segment, a riff on the iconic films of Stanley Kubrick, gave fans a chance to express their knowledge of cinema.

The Kubrick story also caused the top spike in emotional conversation during the show, with 50% of reactions expressing "love."

The third and final story in "Treehouse of Horror XXV" focused on today's Simpsons meeting their former selves-- The Simpson family from early appearances on The Tracey Ullman Show.

The Simpsons ended this "Treehouse of Horror" installment with The Simpson family in the styles of other animated classics. Check out the infographic below to see how fans reacted to these cameos, and visit our editorial partners at Lost Remote for more analysis!
