What does Social TV reveal about audience loyalty? We partnered with Twitter and Nielsen Social to better understand the top drivers of audience retention and engagement for today’s television programming.

Our combined expertise and research efforts led to some pretty illuminating insights about how viewers interact with their favorite shows on Twitter. Canvs proved that not only is there a statistically significant relationship between Twitter TV emotionality and program loyalty, but also identified which emotions inspire viewers to be most loyal across three specific TV genres. These finding are actionable for networks and showrunners looking to improve their strategies for social media, marketing, and other audience engagement initiatives.
