As viewing habits continue to evolve beyond traditional linear, OTT is growing as an unprecedented force within the industry. This is one of the reasons we’re excited to announce that OTT data is now available in Canvs. We’ve also updated our filters in Explore to give you more search parameters than ever before. Here’s more of what’s new:
INTRODUCING OTT DATA
Discover how fans are emotionally reacting to streaming content
Whether you’re interested in conversation around Transparent or Fuller House, Canvs is now analyzing priority programs for Netflix, Hulu, Amazon Studios, YouTube Red, Yahoo! and WWE in a 24/7 measurement timeframe. This means that data is analyzed in 24-hour increments, which can be viewed individually or in the respective series’ Recap view. For any new and upcoming OTT programs, data will be collected from up to six weeks of each respective series’ premiere.
Accessing OTT programming is very much like finding linear programs in Canvs. You can use the main search bar in the platform welcome page or filter by network.
Analyses can be viewed in 24-hour increments or in each respective series’ Recap view.
Functionality, including filtering by emotions and top drivers, favoriting, and understanding audiences from the Audience tab, all remain the same as linear analyses by Canvs.
New Explore Filters
Leverage Explore with more search flexibility than ever
We’ve updated our Explore feature to give you the flexibility to narrow your search results or exploration options even further. Additional search filters in Explore now include:
- Genre: With over 50 different options to choose, now you can take a deep dive into any show genre to better understand how fans are reacting to like-minded programming.
- Daypart: Looking to analyze how your show performs against shows within the same daypart? Now you can segment data within primetime, daytime, late fringe, and more.
- Type: Not all programming is created equally. With the Type filter, you’re now able to filter airings by particular types, including short film, streaming, series, sports, and more.
