The Canvs team is always working on new features to make our product even more useful for clients. Our latest batch of Canvs product updates improves the way you can visualize, search, and export data. Here's the latest.
Until now, Canvs has relied on five-minute increments to visualize TV episodes. We released a feature that allows you to zoom in for minute-by-minute analysis. Simply select the period you'd like to analyze and a "Zoom" button will appear.
When you click on the "Zoom" button, the timeline will recalibrate to a minute-by-minute view of the timeframe you've selected. The reaction data, topic, hashtag, mention, and authors analysis will all update accordingly.
Designate Favorite Networks and Shows
You can now customize your Canvs homepage to feature your favorite shows and networks. To do this, navigate to the show or network you'd like to favorite by clicking on either the show title or the network icon. On the show or network view, you'll see the option to add a favorite.
After you designate a show or network as a favorite, your Canvs homepage will feature it when you login. Just toggle "Favorites" on your home screen to see your selections. You can favorite as many shows and networks as you'd like.
Canvs now gives you the option to view the top topics, hashtags, mentions, and authors in a word cloud for episode and recap views. Each word in the cloud serves as a filter, so when you click on it you can see sample reactions related to the term.
Full Boolean Search
Canvs now supports full Boolean search in the episode and season recap views. This means you can learn about more complex relationships between keywords. For example, if you wanted to know how people reacted an actor and the character she plays, you could search for the actor's name or the character's name to see both sets of reactions.
We know exports are important to our clients, so we've worked hard to make our data exports even more useful. Canvs now allows three separate exports in the episode view in comma separated value (csv) format. You can download exports of volume over time, topic breakdowns, and sample reactions.
